This Indenture made this first day of March one thousand eight hundred and forty two between Banjamin L. Johnson & Eli Milton both of Perry, IN of the first part and Zachariah Jarboe of the said county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of one hundred and fifty five dollars to ___ in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained, and sold and by these presents, do grant bargain and sell unto the said party of the other part, their heirs and assigns foresee a certain tract or parcel of land situated in the said county of Perry, Indiana being thus North West quarter N.W. qt of the south west guarter (S.W. qr) of ___ seven (7) in twonship no. five south of Range No. one (1) west containing forty acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the above described premises with appertenances unto the said ___ the second part their heirs and assigns forever. ReplyDeleteI'd like to give you a hint, if I may ... when you transcribe a document and you have blanks that need to be filled in, you should post a scan of the document on your blog with the transcription so the genealogy community here can take a look and possibly fill in some of those blanks for you. We live for that sort of thing! :)
